We are excited to announce the release of our debut EP: Uncorked. It is currently available for download on CDbaby.com and will be available for download through all major distributors very shortly.
Recorded at The Bridge sound and stage in Cambridge, MA, Uncorked captures the live sound of The Screwtops without the “sterility” often found on digital recordings. “We were fortunate to be able to work with Engineer/Partner Alex Alinson. He has a great ear and his knowledge of analogue gear and the extensive collection or microphones allowed us to capture the organic sounds of the acoustic instruments” says Ned.
The EP features 7 tracks, both blues classics and originals (including the new slow blues, “Got no spoons”.) In addition to the usual lineup of Ned (slide, Vocals) and Toby (6 and 12 string guitars), the Screwtops were also joined by veteran percussionist Joey Pafumi.
